Beyond Avoidance - What should you have done this year but didn’t because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing?   There were a lot of things I could have (don't like the word "should" here) done. Part of the reason for non-completion was ill use of time. Funny thing. We have already had this prompt only it was worded differently. Rather than wasting time (wink) I am going to guide you to the answer HERE. 

As to not shortchange you, I'm adding pictures of my husband's latest chainsaw carving for your visual pleasure! I'm also adding a picture of his fairy carving as I will be adding it to my Etsy shop very soon.

and cyber friend of mine.

Today's Featured Artist is John Gibson!

John lives on the Canary Islands of Spain.

He is a talented artist whose work you can find

I was lucky enough to find John in the blog-o-sphere where

I have been enjoying getting to know him and his art better.

He is caring, wise and talented.

This past Friday I received a much anticipated package from John. 

It contained an original piece of art

along with a print of another.

The colors are wonderful, the words brilliant,

the pieces precious.

I am currently admiring them propped on a chair

near my desk so I can meditate on the words each morning.

Soon they will find a more permanent place in my home

where they will be shared with all who enter.

I was looking for artistic inspiration this morning.
This is the first artist I came across. WOW! I'm talking AmAZING!!
Now to remember to use his abilities as inspiration and not
comparison (or I might as well give up immediately) ;)

Gratitude Attitude - Day 3

Today I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with Chunk Kiesling. He was a good, smart, caring man. He was gifted in photography. His Photobucket account shows his talent. Click on the link and spend some time seeing the world through his eyes. You'll be glad you did.

I am thankful for the time we spent conversing at parties, for the laughs he gave me and for the time he took out of his schedule to help me understand my camera a little better. I am also thankful for the positive and supportive words he shared with me about my work.
On Saturday I was given the news that Chunk passed away unexpectedly this past Tuesday.
May he rest in peace.
