Back to school.
Four kids.
Four different schools.
To say this back to school year will be challenging
is an understatement.
I know there is a collective sigh of relief when the start school.
For me?
I miss them already.
They are my heart.
Darling Daughter spotted this heart in the root of a tree by the river. Tree Love. Aaaaahhhhh!!!!! |
While my heart is away
I'll let my mind play.
This year I am embracing ME!!!!
I woke to a wonderful post by Shannon.
Perfect timing.
She has all sorts of wonderful links like
~ an article on how to make YOU a priority ~
~ a link for chances to win prizes ~
~ a link to a brand new inspirational online magazine ~
The first thing I am going to do (for me) is get organized.
I know, I know. I've said that a million times.
This time, I mean it!!!!
With no one here to mess up the joint
I have a chance at actually accomplishing ultimate organization.
Great organization blogs for great tips, tricks and pics.
Enough reading and writing about it.
On to action!
What changes will back-to-school season bring you?

I've said the very same thing (a million times) about decluttering and getting organized! This year? Maybe. I'm going to be working on this also once the littles get back in school.
Zen Habits has some great articles for inspiration. Also the book, Organized Simplicity has some great "Spring Cleaning" ideas for each room.
Wonderful photograph. Good too that you are finding your way forward in the process.
Well, my 2 are out of school, but the one is in college now. So I really don't have a summer off with babysitting, but good news, Kiley is starting to learn to count and to recognize her name, and say her ABC's, along with learning the sight of them. I am starting her early, cause the kid catches on fast to all the other stuff I am teaching her. lol all the things I am teaching her, and some of the things I really don't want her to copy, she does anyway. Have fun with some ME time for a change. 4 schools? That's crazy.. :)
you're such a good mom....i always loved when my kids started school and treated those days as a gift to myself....for ME...for what i wanted after a summer of what they wanted.
"they are my heart" is the truest statement ever !
I love that photo! And I like your quote, "Enough reading and writing about it.
On to action!" sounds good to me. But first I have to read blogs, ha ha!
Wow, four different schools! That will be a challenge, indeed!
Because we don't have kids, back to school in our house simply means my husband starts teaching again. He is a college professor, and he teaches in summers as well as during the school year, but he has about a month away from classes in August each year during which he crams in as much of his own research and writing as possible. Fall just means that both our schedules kick back into high gear.
Still, I love this time of year, and I love what you said about getting organized. This seems like just the right thing to do in fall while the days are cooler, but the sun is still bright.
xoxo Gigi
