NaNoWriMo 2012 - Day 2

NaNoWriMo Day 2 - I made goal. Made the ticker on the right happy today. The words are flowing freely but the story is somewhat of a catastrophe compared to the perfect scenario I imagined. My inner critic is getting really pissed off that my inner child is running around messing up the place!
I must continue to remind myself that this is dumping grounds. First draft. Free style. No editing. No re-writes. No judgment.

"If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word."  ~ Margaret Atwood

I am l♡ving the new Kleenex box!!!!

Oh, how funny! The Kleenex box totally fooled me! Just goes to show you what pov does.

Congrats on day 2! I tend to write at night, as during the day it's so noisy I can't hear what's supposed to be written.

My own is dragging a bit and I may take tonight to plot a bit more and worry about word count tomorrow and this weekend. I know where I want to go ... although the beginning has surprised me a little.

Anyway, I write faster when I have things a bit more plotted out, so that's tonight's goal.

And yay you!

You say "The words are flowing freely but the story is somewhat of a catastrophe compared to the perfect scenario I imagined. My inner critic is getting really pissed off that my inner child is running around messing up the place!" From whose point of view? Perhaps it's just like your very cool pics. Deceptive. You're too close to see the big picture. Perhaps the story is unfolding as it's meant to. Don't judge. Just write. So very proud of you and yes I'm still watching.
